What are your top 3 destinations to shoot at in Paris, and why?
Canal Saint Martin
The Canal Saint Martin is a great place to shoot. It was made famous by the film Amelie Poulain back in 2001. I am attached to the area as I lived there and it’s where the firm was born mere metres away from where we helped shoot a video for the singer Madeleine Peyroux with the English actress Rachel Hurd Wood. Montmartre
I know it’s all a bit cliched, but Montmartre is beautiful. Just next to the Sacre Coeur has a great view and best of all it’s a city street so permits are free and easy-ish. We helped Aston Martin do photos of an amazing car there many years back, and it was one of my favourite shoots ever as I love cars.
Champ de Mars
Also, a total cliche, but with one of the best views in the world and managed by the lovely Pascale in the city parks dept is the Champ de Mars just next to the Eiffel Tower. Getting a good shot in Paris is like shooting fish in a barrel. It’s got to be the best city on earth if you want a good backdrop.
