What we mean by “event people”
Event people are the specialists responsible for capturing, broadcasting and supporting live experiences.
At ACrew4U, this includes event videographers, photographers, livestream operators and production support. Working together to ensure events are captured accurately and professionally.
By focusing on people rather than venues or packages, we ensure each event is staffed appropriately, whether it requires a single camera operator or multiple crews working simultaneously.
Many organisations run multiple events across cities and regions, our people support those programmes consistently.

“They go above and beyond to find the best solutions”
I’ve been using “ACrew4U” for over 5 years. Not only are they super pleasant to deal with they go above and beyond to find the best solutions for all at my productions. I have certainly tested them over the years with some really difficult requests in some really tricky locations and they have never let me down. These guys are always my first point of call for any shoot I have anywhere in the world.

Event filming questions
How many camera operators do I need for a conference?
The number of camera operators varies a lot depending on the context but you might need an operator for the keynote speeches, another roving person to cover the life of the event and b – roll or plenary sessions, you might also want another person to cover audience reactions and question and answer sections as well as providing more cover for any panel discussions. In addition, foxed, unmanned cameras are useful for wide shots as they give the vision mixer or editor something to cut to so coverage is not boring to watch.
Do I need an event videographer or a video production company?
It really depends. If you have a clear idea of what is needed you don’t necesarily need a full-blown production company. For example ACrew4U can supply you with pretty much everything a production company can, but don’t deal with the creative conception side. So if you need that angle you might want to talk to a production company.
How much event filming coverage is needed for a one-day conference?
Do you need to cover keynotes etc in their entirety or just want to have a 2 minute wrap up film? In both cases you will probably need one or more people on hand all day but the amount of material that’s needed to be captured will vary wildly in these two examples as you’d imagine.
Can a keynote presentation be livestreamed?
Yes it can. You need to allow extra crew to vision mix, and will need cameras to cover one or more angles to make sure it’s not boring to watch.
Can event filming be directed remotely?
Yes, this happens a lot. We can feed a live camera to a remote Technical Director and vision mixer that makes it all look wonderful. This requires some planning, but ACrew4U have some accomplished people that can assist.
How quickly can an event crew be organised?
If you want to cover a simple events wrap up film or photos, we could organise in as little as 24 / 48 hours. If you want to cover more than this or livestream at least a week or two would be strongly advised as there may be lots of technical aspects to cover.
Can one supplier cover events in multiple countries?
Yes they can. ACrew4U regularly covers multi city event projects for clients worldwide.
Event photography questions
How many photographers do I need for an event?
If you just need some general coverage of the event, one person should be sufficient. But, if you want to get portraits of delegates or extensive coverage of a cocktail event, for example you would be adivsed to get one or more people to ensure that enough images can be captured. Good photographers can be incredibly effective, but they cannot be in more than one place at a time.
What types of event photography should be captured?
You can get images of keynotes, delegates and the life of the event, branding, the venue, social functions, plenaries as well as use an event as a place to get portraits or headshots while you have everyone in one location.
How quickly can event photos be delivered?
Depending on complexity same day or next day is typical. This does of course depend on the number and complexity of images needed. Typically we would deliver a few images for same-day social posts and then the bulk of images the next day.
Can event photos be edited overnight?
It’s typical to edit / colour correct and delivery photos for next day and make them available for download online.
Livestream questions
What internet speed is needed for livestreaming?
You need a wired connection that is ideally not shared with anyone else. You cannot rely on wifi in a venue if shared with delegates. It is strongly reccomended to have a dedicated fast internet connection. Always test the connection at a venue well before a livestream. Extra connectivity can be supplied onsite if needed but this needs time to put in place and test.
Can hybrid events be streamed globally?
Yes hybrid and virtual events can be easily streamed. Often a platform like Zoom or Teams is the best solution as everyone uses it and it is robust and reliable and our producers can easily integrate participants and media like Video inserts and Powerpoint easily.
What’s the difference between a webcast and a livestream?
Live streaming is when the content being streamed is not pre-recorded, but filmed as it’s happening. You capture the footage and stream it live via the internet. This can be done from your mobile phone or webcam through social media, or on a full production level with multiple cameras and live mixing.
Webcasting is like traditional broadcasting, distributing by streaming over the internet. Compared to traditional broadcasting, webcasts are much more accessible and affordable to companies because they can be published anywhere online like youtube.
Webcasts can consist of live or pre-recorded video. We can watch a live webcast after the live event is over, when it becomes available on-demand.
What services do you offer?
We supply the best Event Videographers and Photographers for hire for Corporate Events, Symposia, Launches, Event coverage, Live event coverage and much more. Our service covers the whole production process and includes matching you with the best people for your project, pre production planning and pre shoot briefing calls, the shoot itself and, if needed, we can also assist with post production (video editing, retouching and colour balancing).
How do I hire an Event Videographer or Photographer?
It’s easy! Just tell us about your project details, including location, dates, shooting style (interviews, headshots, portraits, event coverage etc…) objectives and budget. We will then find the best videographer or photographer for your project and prepare rates that we will send over for your inspection. If you have questions, we’ll set up a call to go through anything needed. And if you go ahead we will get all the paperwork issues and begin the pre-production process.
What does an Event Videographer or Photographer do?
A videographer or photographer’s job is to record good visuals / audio of whatever you need shot. They take your storyboard or shot list and, and use their mastery of the equipment and knowledge of the art of photography to make it look beautiful. They are technicians, artists and problem solvers in one, and a good videographer or photographer can make a hard task a dream.
How much does it cost to hire an Event Videographer or Photographer?
Every project is different, so there is no one standard crew rate. A crew might cost anything from $1000-10000 for a simple shoot, depending on the spec needed and location, rising to many multiples of this according to spec. Ask us first, we are past masters in helping clients get more done with less!
