About Nathan

Hi, I’m Nathan!

I’ve worked professionally in video production since 2013, with a background spanning corporate, commercial and branded content; from filming and directing through to editing, motion graphics and visual effects.

A significant part of my career has been spent producing content for large organisations and brands. As a freelancer I’ve worked on content for clients including Amazon, Sony, Apple and Universal Music. In 2018 I joined Kingfisher, one of the world’s largest home improvement groups, where I spent several years producing product-focused video content including range showcases, hero films and explainers, working with professional production equipment including the Alexa Mini LF.

Since 2021 I’ve moved further into post-production, working as a senior editor and motion designer within a global agency environment. This has involved editing and grading, motion graphics, compositing, extensive rotoscoping, 3D tracking, object removal and detailed image clean-up and retouching. I’m comfortable taking footage through the entire post-production process and dealing with the practical challenges that inevitably arise along the way.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience working in corporate environments with subject matter experts, C-Suite personnel, and other contributors who may not be accustomed to being in front of a camera. I place an emphasis on making people feel comfortable and confident during a shoot, while maintaining the natural, professional performance the production needs. That experience has included working with everyone from CEOs and senior professionals to tradespeople, members of the public and young people.

My freelance work has also given me experience across a broad range of commercial and creative projects. I’ve worked with major brands and organisations including The Body Shop, FatFace, Gucci and Lego, as well as producing live music and promotional content involving artists including The Rolling Stones, Tricky and McFly.

Today, my work is roughly split between production and post-production. I’m fully equipped for professional location production, including camera, lighting and sound, while my post-production setup is built around Adobe Creative Cloud alongside Boris FX, Neat Video, Topaz and other specialist tools.

I particularly enjoy projects where production and post-production overlap: understanding what needs to be captured on location, while also having the technical and creative experience to get the most out of the material in the edit.

I’m equally comfortable working independently or as part of a larger production team, and I’m used to working professionally, efficiently and discreetly in corporate and commercial environments.
