Hi, I’m Devin!
My specialties are cinematic documentary, branded content, corporate storytelling, events, interviews, environmental and food/agriculture stories, and narrative-driven commercial work. I’m especially comfortable creating polished, cinematic imagery while keeping people and environments feeling natural and authentic.
Much of my work involves directing real people rather than actors, including farmers, business owners, executives, artists, and community members. I try to create a relaxed, conversational environment and give simple direction that helps people feel comfortable rather than overly “performed.” Building trust quickly and capturing authentic moments is a big part of my approach.
My style is cinematic, naturalistic, and story-driven. I’m drawn to strong composition, natural or motivated lighting, thoughtful camera movement, and observational moments. Because I also come from an editing background, I shoot with the final story in mind and think carefully about sequences, transitions, details, and coverage.
I enjoy documentary, branded, corporate, commercial, event, and narrative productions—especially projects centred around interesting people or meaningful stories. I like work that gives me the opportunity to create something visually distinctive while still serving the needs of the client and the story.
