Berlin’s Visual Gems: Top 6 Shooting Locations For Captivating Storytelling
Explore the vibrant tapestry of Berlin’s diverse landscapes through this article, which takes you on a visual journey to some of the city’s hidden gems and iconic landmarks.
Bülowstraße
A great spot for B-roll footage is Bülowstraße, a street that extends all the way from Yorckstraße to Nollendorfplatz, known as the gay area with clubs and entertainment. This long, straight road is lined with tenements adorned with street art, urban art galleries, and a somewhat gritty atmosphere, providing an excellent backdrop for capturing the local art scene.
Park am Gleisdreieck
As you head towards Yorckstraße, there’s a park with an S-Bahn running in the background, creating a pleasant setting. This park, called Gleisdreieck, serves as the second recommended location, offering a relaxed environment with grassy areas and people enjoying the outdoors. In the background, you’ll find a large circular fishpo.
Brandenburg Gate and Tiergarten
Continuing up the straight road, you’ll reach the famous Brandenburg Gate and Tiergarten, a vast forested area.
Grunewald
In Grunewald, another notable spot, there’s a big forest with two or three lakes on the edge, perfect for cycling and hiking. Grunewald stands out as the only place in Berlin with a significant hill, providing a vantage point to see the listening station in the forest and the cityscape in the background.
Tempelhofer Feld
Tempelhofer Feld is also mentioned as a cool place to live, offering a unique experience reminiscent of the ’90s zeitgeist. Berlin, in contrast to the UK, is a place where you can be yourself without judgment. Living in Berlin is described as having a laid-back atmosphere, allowing individuals to pursue their interests freely.
