ACrew4U’s 10 Point Sustainable Shoot Guidance

We aim to source the closest crew to the shooting location to cut down on travel

We encourage crew to use public transport to a shoot and where cars are used, to carpool to reduce the number of vehicles used

Where long distance travel is required we encourage crew to use high speed rail over air travel as it is less carbon intensive

We promote the use of remote attended shoots via video call to reduce the need for clients to attend the shoot

For preproduction we favour a virtual location recce (scout) where at all possible

We always strive to not over specify the resolution of footage or stills as the higher the resolution the greater the requirements for data storage and processing in post production

We offer clients and crew online file transfer via wetransfer for free in order to eliminate the need for hard drives and media to be shipped by courier

On shoot we encourage crew and clients to not print out call sheets etc, and to make sure items of decor / props are reused and not disposed of after a shoot

For catering we suggest crew and clients eat locally sourced food and consider eating vegetarian, chicken or fish over read meat and where they can to avoid water and other catering sundries that use single – use – plastics

Where required we can perform a carbon footprint calculation using the AdGreen system if the budget allows
