How it works

1. Give us the low-down.

2. We’ll do the matchmaking.

Our team will handpick a talented bunch based on your needs, wants and whereabouts. Then it’s time for us to get stuck into the pre-production briefings. Yippee!

3. We’re there for the whole shebang.

2 hidden gems for photography lovers in Cork, Ireland

If you’re a photography lover in search of some hidden gems, Cork, Ireland is the place for you. With its stunning coastline and historic sites, there’s no shortage of photo opportunities. Here are two of our favorite spots:

Rosscarbery: This quaint seaside town is the perfect place to capture the beauty of the Irish coast. From the rocky cliffs to the sandy beaches, there’s something for everyone.

Charlesfort: This 18th-century fort is a must-see for history buffs and photography enthusiasts alike. With its sweeping views of Cork Harbour, it’s easy to see why this is one of Ireland’s most popular tourist destinations.

Rosscarbery.

Rosscarbery is a small town in County Cork, Ireland. It’s located on the Iveragh Peninsula, about 25 kilometers southwest of Cork city. The town is picturesque, with a harbor, sandy beaches, and rolling hills.

There are two hidden gems for photography lovers in Rosscarbery. The first is Rosscarbery Castle. The castle is a 13th-century Norman fortification that was later converted into a manor house. It’s set on a rocky outcrop overlooking the town and the bay. The castle is now in ruins, but it’s still an impressive sight. There are great views from the top of the castle walls, and it’s a popular spot for sunset photography.

The second hidden gem in Rosscarbery is St Fachtna’s Cathedral. The cathedral is a 12th-century Romanesque church that was badly damaged in a fire in the 19th century. However, the remains of the cathedral are still impressive, and it’s a beautiful spot for photography. There are wonderful views of the surrounding countryside from the cathedral grounds.

Charlesfort.

Situated on the coast of County Cork, Charlesfort is a hidden gem for photography lovers. This 17th century fort is one of the few remaining examples of military architecture from this period in Ireland. The well-preserved structure and stunning coastal setting make it a perfect place to capture some unique photos.

1. history

Charlesfort was built in 1690 by Captain Charles O’Brien, as part of the defense system for the city of Cork. It was designed to protect the city from attacks by land or sea, and played a key role in several battles during the Williamite War in Ireland. The fort remained in use until 1815, when it was decommissioned and fell into disrepair. In recent years, however, it has been restored and is now open to the public.

2. features

Charlesfort is situated on a small island just off the coast of Rosscarbery. It can be reached by a short walk across a causeway at low tide, or by boat at high tide. The fort itself consists of two bastions connected by an curtain wall, with an artillery platform overlooking the sea. There are also several buildings within the fort, including a magazine, powder house, and guardhouse.
