Hi, I’m Mikael!

I am a Tokyo-based Cinematographer and Filmmaker specializing in commercials, branded content, narrative and documentary films.

I focus on delivering not only strong visuals but also a smooth production experience, bridging the gap between international teams and local workflows.

In addition, I can assist with assembling a trusted local crew, sourcing equipment, and managing logistics to ensure every shoot in Japan or across Asia runs efficiently and at the highest quality.

I’ve rencently had the opportunity to collaborate on projects with esteemed clients, including Adidas, Zara, Moët Hennessy, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Champion, BBC, NBC, Google, and Vice, working with both domestic and international teams.

I have extensive experience directing non professional talent in promotional and corporate video projects.
