Hi, I’m Klaus!

Television has evolved dramatically in the past two decades — blurring the line between film, documentary, and digital content. Modern productions should choose a style and approach that reinforces the story, tone, and audience expectations.
I prefer large-sensor cameras (Sony FX/FS Series) for shallow depth of field and filmic texture.

What is important to me when I work with people who have no or little experience with television production:


– Introduce yourself and the team. Be respectful and courteous.
– Explain what’s going to happen, how long it will take, and what the setup involves.
– The goal is to get what is needed on camera. The set should be designed to provide the most comfortable environment possible for the performer. The person in front of the camera must look good and be authentic.
– Have the equipment that enables high-quality production. Good lighting (softboxes, Fresnel lenses, spotlights). Wireless microphones, high-quality directional microphones, teleprompters, sliders, or gimbals if desired.
