We’re living in an uncertain era with headwinds on the political, economic and technological fronts.

Not least when it comes to rhetoric on the subject of sustainability.

Just because it’s gotten a bad a press from a certain you-know-who. It doesn’t mean you can afford to ignore sustainability, or the advantages it can bring your business.

Your big-name clients still need to know how they can benefit from working with you. Helping them deliver their sustainability objectives is still a trump card. (pun intended).

In the EU, the so called CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) will soon require companies with more than 1000 employees and a turnover of more than EUR 50 million to produce detailed reports on how sustainability issues affect the company and how the company impacts upon the environment.

This will include their supply chains. And you, if you work for them.

Meanwhile, similar regulations are in the works in the UK. The SRS (Sustainability Reporting Standards) are being developed at present by HM Treasury and the FCA, and they will cover similar ground to their European counterpart.

There is a lot of hype about sustainability and frankly a lot of hot air written about, well, hot air.

That’s why, here at ACrew4U, we’re proud to be doing our bit to not only help you shoot meaner (with no travel costs) but also help you, and the wider production community shoot greener than ever before.

Here are 2 ways we’re working to help the brand film community be more sustainable.

1 – We help you cut out travel, the biggest driver of carbon emissions.

Our crew are local so less need for dirty planes, trains or automobiles. We can also use tools like AdGreen to quantify your carbon footprint on a given project, if needed.

2 – We’ve compiled a FREE guide about how you can put sustainability to work in your firm, today.

From the rules and regs you need to know about. Through to how to measure and mitigate your impact and some practical advice on embedding sustainability in your everyday, this guide is practical and a useful place to start your sustainability journey. Plus, its free! Get your copy here

And if you need a hand making “no travel” video, photo or podcast content, I and the team here would be only too happy to help you produce greener shoots!
