Navigating the Isle of Man: A Guide to the Annual Events of Douglas

The Isle of Man TT is an annual motorcycle racing event held on the island of Snaefell Mountain in the Isle of Man. The event has been held since 1907 and is organized by the ACU. It is currently sponsored by Dainese.

The races are held over a two-week period in May and June, with practice sessions held in the weeks leading up to the event. The event attracts around 50,000 spectators each year, making it one of the most popular sporting events on the island.

Over 400 riders have competed in the Isle of Man TT races over the years, with many of them coming from the UK and Ireland. However, riders from all over the world come to compete in this prestigious event.

The Isle of Man TT race course is 37 miles long and consists of public roads that are closed off for racing purposes. The course includes a number of sharp turns and elevation changes, making it one of the most challenging courses in motorsport.

Douglas Carnival.

The Douglas Carnival is an annual summer event that takes place in Douglas, Isle of Man. It is usually held in July or August and features a parade, live music, stalls, food vendors, and other attractions.

The carnival has been running since 1879 and is one of the oldest summer festivals on the island. It attracts around 10,000 people each year and is a major tourist attraction for Douglas town centre.
